Libraries are also a place for growth and rejuvenation. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A massive place of knowledge is the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wikidata.org\/wiki\/Q6866821\">Sharjah Public Library<\/a> location <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that stands in the Halwan Suburb, Al Abar- Sharjah United Arab Emirates.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cA room without books is like a body without a soul.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>Sharjah<\/em>\u00a0Public\u00a0<em>Libraries<\/em> is one of the oldest in the list of libraries that exist in Sharjah. The library was first rooted in the Sharjah Fort, which was then under the possession of the then ruler to preserve his personal collection of books. The library was passed on to Sheikh Sqr Bin Sultan Al Qasimi after the ruler. The location was then changed in 1956 to another building in the same courtyard of the fort. Later the years after being in possession of several royal members were passed on to Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi the ruler of Sharjah and the Supreme council member.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It was under his direction that the library was renamed<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0in 1917 and it was moved to the Sharjah Municipality building. The location was however again changed to the Cultural Palace in 1984 and then again to the region of Muwaileh in 1993.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After so many unstable locations This Library was finally settled in Cultural Square in 2011, and to date is maintained by Sharjah\u2019s Department of Cultural Information.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 <em>Sharjah<\/em>\u00a0Public\u00a0<em>Library<\/em><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only <\/span>Sharjah Library membership <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">holders are permitted for external lending.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Library members below the age of 18 require a parent or guardians&#8217; consent.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\">Sharjah Library <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">requires the national UAE ID as a membership identification number<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For the return of books, the library has a facility of 24\/7 convenience service at the rear gate of the library.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Membership_at_Sharjah_Public_Library\"><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Membership at <em>Sharjah<\/em>\u00a0Public\u00a0<em>Library<\/em><\/span><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Membership forms are available in hand and electronically.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Annual smart membership fees of AED 25 which also includes the additional facility of e-service at the Sharjah Digital Library.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The library also provides a single membership with insurance that costs AED 150\u00a0 and allows one to borrow up to 10 items.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children&#8217;s membership costs only AED 50 and allows borrowing of 7 items.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Postgraduate members are permitted to borrow 15 items at AED 150.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The<\/span>\u00a0membership<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> also comes for a family costing AED 300 including insurance with which one can borrow 20 items from the library.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Membership fees for the government are AED 500 and for academic professionals, it is AED 1000.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For E-services the annual membership fee is AED 25, which comes with LinkedIn Learning and Kanopy.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<h3 style=\"text-align: left;\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Renewal_at_Sharjah_Library\"><\/span><span 400;\">All borrowed books are expected to be returned to the library within the period of 15 days from the date of issue to avoid any penalty.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The return period for people with special needs is 21 days.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0The library sends alerts on the registered mobile number and email beyond any delay.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In cases of a delayed return library cards to Sharjah Library can be suspended.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the delay exceeds six months one may face banishment from the library.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In cases of loss and damage, the library expects the borrower to pay bookbinding fees and three times increased charges for the lost book.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Eating, drinking or smoking is strictly prohibited inside the library, except for the designated areas.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Children under the age of 8 years should be accompanied to the library by a parent or guardian.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Visitors aren\u2019t allowed to enter the reception, stores and the technical area without permission.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight:
