About National Investment Corporation

In 1999, the National Investment Corporation (NIC) was established with the goal of developing the Breakwater area to its full potential. This included the creation of the Marina Mall, which opened to the public in 2001. As the premier shopping destination in Abu Dhabi, it offered large circulation spaces, quality anchor tenants, and a wide variety of brand names.

In 2006, the National Investment Corporation added the Marina Royal Complex to its portfolio. This residential compound featured 100 luxury villas, each of which had a spectacular view of the sea. That same year, the company extended the Marina Mall, resulting in an increased footfall of 16 million visitors by 2010.

In 2008, NIC began leasing the Marina Village Office Park, which comprised 100+ villas for both residential and commercial use. Again in 2018, NIC opened its most recent development, Marina Sunset. This included 67 villas and 210 residential apartments, providing modern luxury living in Abu Dhabi. It's good to know that NIC continues to expand its portfolio of projects, with a focus on optimising the Breakwater area for economic and social enhancement.
