The International School of Choueifat, Ajman, adheres to the SABIS Educational System. It offers education from pre-KG to grade 12. The curriculum pays great attention to English, Science, Maths, and world languages. It is college-preparatory and rigorous. 

At The International School of Choueifat, Ajman, the syllabus is designed in line with the SABIS curriculum. The school uses books, methods, and tools listed by SABIS. Assessments are done regularly for students of all ages, and feedback is provided on the spot for enhanced learning. 

The academic calendar of ISC, Ajman, is divided into three terms: 

• Term 1: 1st September to 2nd January. Students receive a winter break between 15th December and 2nd January.
• Term 2: 3rd January to 16th April.
• Term 3: 17th April to 28th June. June 28th is the last day of school.

The International School of Choueifat, Ajman, is non-selective but highly academic. Therefore, the criteria for admission is academic achievement, not age. You can find up to a three-year range in a class. However, age does act as a limiting factor in some places. If you want to get your child admitted to this school, follow these steps: 

Step 1: Online Application

Parents can download the online application from the official website. While there is no deadline, it is best to begin the process as early as possible. You can fill out the application at any time throughout the year, as the school accepts them on a space-available basis. 

The application includes several sections, including the student’s data, any siblings attending SABIS, family data, document uploading, medical form, bus registration, and registration waiver. 

Step 2: Payment and Document Submission

For application submission, you have to pay a joining fee that covers the administrative costs. You also have to submit the following documents:

• Copy of student's and parent's passports
• Copy of student's and parent's valid residency
• Student passport photographs with a white background
• Copy of student's and parent's valid U.A.E. ID card
• Copy of birth certificate
• Copy of the vaccination record
• The latest school report from the previous school 

Since the form is submitted online, you can pay the joining fee online as well. After submitting the form, the school will contact you to set up interviews and diagnostic testing. 

Step 3: Assessment

Testing happens at different levels at ISC, Ajman. These levels are:

• Students applying to KG 1 to Grade 2 have to give an online interview. 
• Students applying to Grade 3 and beyond have to take online diagnostic tests. Once the test is completed, it is marked and sent to the school for a decision. 

Step 4: Admission Confirmation

The candidate evaluation is done based on the results of interviews or diagnostic testing. These are considered on a case-by-case basis. Other criteria considered include motivation, social development, willingness to learn and work, and emotional development. The school also considers its ability to accommodate the needs of the candidate before making a decision. 

Once the seat is allocated, you have to pay the required fees through online bank transfers. Upon submitting proof of payment to the school, a seat is reserved. 

The school places the following requirements on a candidate:

• Students applying for kindergarten must be 3 years and 8 months old by 1st September. They must be able to speak and follow instructions.
• Diagnostic tests are conducted in the core subjects. These tests determine whether the student has attained the minimum expected standard for each subject.

Payment Schedule

They have to adhere to the following payment schedule:

• The joining fee is paid before the placement test. It is deductible from the 3rd instalment.
• The 1st instalment is to be paid upon registration or re-registration.
• The 2nd instalment is due before the first day of school.
• The 3rd instalment is due by the end of December.

The school puts great emphasis on sports participation. A semi-Olympic-sized swimming pool, basketball and tennis court, Olympic soccer field, and running track are dedicated to sports activities in the school. The KG department has its own swimming pool, multipurpose indoor court, and a KG car track for this purpose. 

The Annual Sports Day encourages students to compete for the Sports Day Winners’ title by engaging them in activities like running, water sports, and balancing. The school also hosts the Inter-Choueifat Gymnastic Competition.
