Three sections make up the entire IB curriculum offered by GEMS World Academy in Dubai. The academy launched the Early Years Programme (EYP) for kids ages 3 and above in 2018. A kid can enter the IB Pre-K programme whenever they have shown sufficient independence. 

The extensive and interesting learning offered by the GEMS World Academy syllabus meets the educational demands of students at various levels. The Pre-K through Grade 5 Primary Years Programme (PYP) puts the child at the centre of the educational process. From Grades 6 through 10, students move on to the Middle Years Programme (MYP), which replaces the PYP. For the next Grades 11 and 12 Diploma Programme, this provides a strong foundation. Eight courses are covered in the well-rounded MYP curriculum, which is tailored to the critical stage of a student's educational career.

• The curriculum at the school is divided for Pre-Primary (KG 1 and KG 2) with a focus on holistic learning and the development of social, interpersonal, and emotional capabilities.

Here is the complete GEMS World Academy presented to you: 

• Beginning on August 29 and ending on December 9, 2022, is the first semester.
• The dates for winter break are December 12 through December 30, 2022.
• The start of the second semester is set for January 2, 2023.
• On March 24, 2023, the second semester came to an end.
• The spring break period in 2023 runs from March 27 through April 7.
• On April 10, 2023, the third semester will start.
• On July 7, 2023, the third semester comes to an end.

• Step 1 : Fill out the online application and send in the AED 525 non-refundable registration fee. Only in the event of admission denial is the fee refunded.
  
  
• Step 2 : Upload the necessary paperwork, which should all be in English and include a copy of your passport, old-school reports, recommendation forms, and questionnaires. For students with particular educational needs, additional paperwork is also required. Post-enrollment documentation includes your Emirates ID card, the school's transfer document, and your immunisation card or record.
  
  
• Step 3 : Parents will get a call to schedule an on-site evaluation. The application will be examined by the school's head in the event that a student is unable to attend. Acceptance on a temporary basis might be given.
  
  
• Step 4 : Within a 24-hour period, the school's principal analyses the application.
  
  
• Step 5 : The admission decision—which might be a complete acceptance, a conditional acceptance, a placement on a waitlist, or an admission denial—will be communicated to the parents in step five.

Note: If accepted, a 10% registration deposit of the total fees, which is non-refundable but can be applied towards tuition, must be paid within seven days.

A mandatory AED 525 registration fee is part of the GEMS World Academy fee schedule and must be submitted with the required admissions paperwork. The school's fees are listed in the table below.

Academic scholarships are offered by GEMS World Academy, Al Barsha, to deserving students who have continuously excelled in their studies for at least three years and show a strong dedication to ongoing progress. All GEMS World Academy students who are currently enrolled are eligible to apply for this award.

The scholarships are given out via a competitive application process and are available to students beginning in Year 7 (Grade 6).

Included in the evaluation of the scholarship are:

• GEMS World Academy evaluates the applicant's scholarship application.
• Complete assessment of a detailed report supplied by the applicant's current school, taking into account both national and local criteria.
• Thinking test and non-verbal/verbal questioning to gauge the candidate's aptitude.
• A meeting to assess the applicant's dedication and ability with the principal of the appropriate GEMS school.
• After passing all earlier assessment phases, the GEMS scholarship committee will meet to make the final decision.

The scholarships are intended to reward students who consistently outperform expectations in the classroom over an extended period of time. The winners of the scholarships will get financial aid to finish their education at GEMS World Academy, Al Barsha.

GEMS World Academy promotes healthy eating habits by offering a diverse menu. Students can choose from options like soups (tomato and basil, carrot, zucchini, broccoli, lentil), main courses (chicken pasta, frittata, meatloaf, chicken tikka masala, beef burger), and vegetarian dishes (mac and cheese, mushroom bourguignon, vegetable frittata, veg pad thai, aubergine caponata). Desserts include yoghurt with fruit compote, fruit salad, and fruit crumble. The school prioritises nutritious meals, serving milk, laban, or water instead of unhealthy beverages. Students can bring homemade lunches too, ensuring dietary preferences are met.

The Week Without Walls (WWW) programme, which is a noteworthy extracurricular activity at GEMS World Academy and is intended for students in sixth through eleventh grades, is another. To give pupils fresh experiences away from the classroom, GEMS World Academy organises educational field trips every year. After-School Facilities:

GEMS World Academy does not currently offer after-school care programmes, but it does offer an extended care programme for children who stay late for extracurricular activities. Medical Care at GEMS World Academy:

Regardless of whether they will be attending a public or private school, all new students in the UAE are required to undergo a thorough health assessment by the Department of Health and Medical Services. The school's health office is where the exam files and records are kept. Each kid must also submit an up-to-date vaccination record as part of the admissions process.
