About ADNOC Schools, Sas Al Nakhl

In 2008, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) founded Glenelg School, now known as the ADNOC Schools, Sas Al Nakhl campus. The primary focus was on students in grades seven to eleven — to provide them with an extensive curriculum for gaining the highest skill levels.

Gradually, the school branched out to three more locations (Ruwais, Madinat Zayed, and Ghayatthi). The Sas Al Nakhl campus has 3500+ students enrolled, with approximately 1000 SEND students.

ADNOC Schools follow the American Massachusetts State Curriculum model for instruction, along with the Ministry of Education for Arabic and Islamic Studies. It offers mixed education for KG 1 to Grade 5. Students from Grade 6 to Grade 12 have segregated classes (boys and girls).

How to Apply for ADNOC Schools, Sas Al Nakhl Step-By-Step Process

Below is the admission process for DNOC Schools, Sas Al Nakhl campus, in detail:

Step 1: Campus Visit

The school invites candidates and their parents for a campus visit before making a decision. You can contact the admissions team to book a visit, and a member will guide you through the procedure.

Step 2: Apply Online

Next, fill out the application form online along with the required attachments (copy of the student’s passport and latest report card). Submit the application, and you will receive a confirmation mail.

Parents must check the application guidelines before completing the form.

Step 3: Admission Priority

The ADNOC Schools offer admissions on a priority basis. However, it does not discriminate based on race, colour, nationality, religion, gender, or physical disabilities. 

Preference is given to:

  • Siblings of existing ADNOC Schools’ students
  • Children of ADNOC Schools’ staff
  • Students from other ADNOC Schools’ branches
  • Former ADNOC Schools’ students
  • Children of ADNOC Schools’ alumni
  • Other students clearing admission requirements

Step 4: Student Assessment

Once a student’s application is accepted, they have to appear for an assessment. Required documentation for this step is as follows:

  • Student’s passport copy/ Emirates ID
  • Past 3 years report cards
  • Recommendation letter from last/recent school

Step 5: Documentation for Accepted Applicants

The school will release the assessment results within 10 days from the assessment date. The accepted applicants will be given a registration link via email to proceed with the final formalities and upload the below documents:

  • Student’s photo
  • Copy of student’s birth certificate and immunization record
  • Copy of student’s passport and residence visa
  • Copy of Emirates ID (student, mother and father)
  • Copy of guardian’s passport (and custody letter, if applicable)
  • In case of the father’s death, a death certificate is mandatory
  • Copy of final school report for past three academic years and term 1 report for the last year
  • Transfer/migration certificate
  • Copy of electricity bill (or tenancy contract)
  • Medical and SEN reports
  • Guardian’s handwritten signature

If the applicant fails to meet these requirements within the next 10 days, he/she will be put on the waiting list or might even face admission cancellation.

Step 6: Registration & Enrollment

Registration fees include 5% of the annual tuition fees. This amount will be later on deducted from Term 1 fees. Parents must submit proof of payment to the admissions team to receive a formal acceptance letter from the school.
