The school provides education from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The grades are separated into three phases:

GIHS is associated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in New Delhi, India, and adheres to the CBSE curriculum.

In the Senior Secondary School, students have the option to select either the Science or Commerce streams, both of which are structured in accordance with the CBSE framework. Arabic is a mandatory subject from Grade 1 to Grade 10. The medium of instruction is English, and students can choose a second language from options such as Hindi, Urdu, French, Bengali, Malayalam, and Tamil. Islamic Education is integrated into the curriculum for Muslim students, while Non-Muslim students are required to study Moral Science.

The Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) is divided into Scholastic and Co-Scholastic areas. The academic year consists of two terms, with each term concluding with two formative assessments and one summative assessment. The grading system is based on a direct grading scale of nine points. KG and Prep-school also follow a two-term system.

Admission for students from unrecognised schools is not allowed. KG 2 and above candidates undergo a performance test, subject to seat availability. KG 1 admission assesses basic skills, including independence, physical development, and speech, ensuring readiness for preschool.

A non-refundable AED 500 registration fee is applicable. Provisional admission is granted for Grade XI applicants. Mandatory documents include:
