Al Mizhar American Academy is well-known for its meticulous American curriculum-based education that aims to equip students with adequate knowledge and individual perspectives to become global citizens. 

Early Childhood Program

This stage of education plays a crucial role in building a solid foundation for improving both academic and non-academic skills in the later years. Child-centred methods such as play, inquiry, and socialisation skills are used to enhance the ability of the students. The students are introduced to letters, sounds, shapes, and numerical literacy, which are essential for their future academic success.

Elementary School

The school uses an activity-based, multi-sensory approach to teach core subjects including maths, science, social studies, writing, and reading to students.

Middle School

The school utilises an outcome-based, student-centred methodology to teach fundamental subjects, emphasising academic accomplishment as well as physical, social, and emotional skills. In addition to this, students are introduced to interdisciplinary subjects and have the opportunity to learn languages such as French and Arabic, as well as engage in activities like PE, art, and music.

High School

The school provides a rigorous American college preparatory program at this stage. The curriculum is tailored to teach core subjects along with additional credits for elective courses such as PE, ICT, Arabic, and fine arts. Students must earn a minimum of 26 credits to obtain the High School Diploma.

Step 1-Online Application

An application must be submitted online, and the school will send an acknowledgement email to the parents.  

Step 2- Submitting Documents and Application Fee

The school informs the parents about the documents to be submitted, the contact details of the admission team, and the non-refundable application fee through email.

The following documents need to be submitted for admission:

• Applicant's recent passport-size photo 
• Passport, Emirates ID, and UAE Residency visa page – Both parents and child
• Student medical and vaccination records and medical forms.
• A Letter of Recommendation from the previous school for admission to Grades 9 to 12.
• Previous school records
• Application fee of AED 525
• Transfer Certificate for grades 2 and above

Step 3- Assessment and Offer

The school will assess the Maths and English skills of children of higher grades and observe how the kindergarten candidates interact with other kids. The child is admitted once they clear the assessments satisfactorily.

The annual fee is payable in three instalments and is as follows:

Parents can pay tuition fees using cash, credit cards, bank transfers, or checks. The first term fee is due on or before 2nd August, while Term 2 and Term 3 fees are due by 6th December and 4th March, respectively.

The school has outsourced its transportation services to Arab Falcon Bus Rental LLC, which offers reliable transportation services to students. The bus fee should be paid as two cheques every 5 months.

The school boasts a multipurpose indoor and outdoor hall, a covered outdoor swimming pool, and a playground in addition to a well-equipped gymnasium.
