About Majan, Dubai
Majan is one of Dubai's newest communities in Dubailand, which covers around 15.6 million sq. ft of area. Residents of Majan enjoy the comfort, leisure and convenience of a well-connected and well-equipped neighbourhood. Majan is a self-sufficient community comprising 32% residential apartments, 24% commercial units and 44% retail and entertainment facilities. While still in progress, this community is said to become the downtown of Dubailand in the near future.
Majan is a part of Dubailand and is located just north of Dubai's geographical centre. With Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road at its front, Majan lies in close proximity to Al Ain Road. These roads provide Majan strategic access to Al Ain, Sharjah and Abu Dabi. The area comprises 100 residential complexes, six iconic towers, four hotels and mixed-use units.
This locality is being developed by Tameer Holdings and Mizin Real Estate. The project is progressing under the master planning architect Halcrow and Callison RTKL as the architectural consultant. The main building construction, however, is being undertaken by Khansaheb, Binladen Contracting Group and Emirates Road Contracting.
Majan is conveniently located from most of the star attractions in Dubai. While the Dubai Mall is a 21-minute drive, it takes around the same time to reach Palm Jumeirah and Burj Al Arab. The Walk JBR is a short 25 minutes walk. Dubai International Airport is a short 30-minute drive from Majan.

Being an Indian settled in Dubai, my family and I find Majan, Dubailand, an excellent locality to live in. We have a cosmopolitan neighbourhood with people from different parts of the world. Majan offers a wide range of rental options, and one can choose based on their family’s requirements and budget. With some excellent schools and hospitals nearby, Majan is a well-rounded community living at affordable rates. Though it is an upcoming locality, there are many shopping malls and restaurants for a weekend binge.
While we love the residential options at Majan, public transport is a tad bit poor compared to other nearby localities. Majan is a breeze to drive to and from for those with a personal vehicle, even when heading outside the locality. Due to the ongoing developmental work, there is constant noise pollution in the area.
As an ex-pat in Dubai, my husband and I found Dubailand a promising suburb with several rental options in residential complexes in Majan. From spacious roads to ample public parking, proximity to shopping malls and a short drive to some of Dubai’s popular tourist destinations, Majan offers everything and more at affordable prices. We have been living in this locality for the last 18 months and enjoy our time in this upcoming Dubai neighbourhood.
Though Majan offers affordable studio apartments ideal for bachelors, the poor public transport is a big drawback of this neighbourhood. If you work in other areas of the city, especially if you are a bachelor, Majan may be slightly inconvenient. It is, however, a well-rounded community for families with kids.
Dubailand and the localities like Majan are affordable for families looking to buy property. With the ongoing development, you can come across a great deal. As a man with kids, Majan offers some excellent schools, parks, entertainment zones and more, making it ideal for families. Majan is the perfect abode for you and your family if you have your own car.
